From April to September 2026, Cogir residences across Canada will come alive to the rhythm of the Live to the Fullest Festival, inspired by the 1970s. A cult decade that shaped a distinctive way of life and continues to resonate with a generation seeking a vibrant, free, active everyday life one designed to reflect their values and lifestyle.
Each month, a variety of engaging and stimulating activities will provide the perfect opportunity to move, thrive, and share enriching moments. Fun, energy, and well-being… More than just a festival, it’s a true celebration of vitality and the joy of living each day to the fullest!
Make way for energy and fun with Cogir's green week in motion! From April 13 to 19, Cogir retirement communities will come alive with a week dedicated to physical activity and the joy of movement.
70s-themed Zumba Gold, yoga, disco and line dancing, stretching, and many other active activities will be offered to promote residents’ coordination, vitality, and good spirits.
Since the key is to get moving, everyone can participate in activities that suit them and enjoy a wonderful week of movement!
In April, residents will have the opportunity to attend a conference on the sociological movements of the 1970s. Designed specifically for Cogir residents, the conference will be presented by historian Paul Dias and will explore, among other topics, the emergence of new citizen movements and the transformation of social and family roles.
These movements continue to influence our social, cultural, and community practices today.
Throughout the festival, Cogir residences will host a knitting activity designed to encourage exchanges between generations and the sharing of skills and know-how. Residents will have the opportunity to take part in a collective knitting challenge in support of a local organization in their region.
The goal will be to knit as many squares as possible and assemble them into blankets, which will then be donated to the organization of their choice. Let’s knit together to make a difference!
A festive and unifying event that gets the entire country moving to the rhythm of the greatest hits of the 1970s. This one-of-a-kind bingo experience stimulates memory, encourages participation, and creates genuine moments of connection.
From coast to coast, participants sing along, recognize iconic tunes...and above all, share the joy.
This summer, residences will come alive to the sound of timeless classics with tribute performances honouring Cat Stevens, Ginette Reno, Elvis, Aznavour, Brel and Dalida, the Bee Gees, and Elton John!
This festive lineup promises fun and emotion, giving residents the opportunity to relive the most memorable musical eras and share unforgettable moments. These concerts will also be open to the general public aged 65 and over, creating wonderful opportunities for connection and exchange.
